Naples, FL – [August 15, 2026] – FC Naples mounted a determined second-half comeback Saturday night, scoring twice after the break before ultimately falling 3-2 to Westchester SC in USL League One action at The Stadium at Memorial Field.
Westchester took control during an eight-minute stretch in the opening half. #6 Conor McGlynn opened the scoring in the 29th minute before #27 Jonathan Jiménez doubled the advantage in the 35th. #42 Piero Elias added a third in the 37th minute, sending FC Naples into halftime facing a 3-0 deficit.
FC Naples responded with a pair of changes at the break, bringing #10 Andrés Ferrín and #45 Nicolas Likulia into the match. The adjustments made an immediate impact as Ferrín found the back of the net just three minutes into the second half, cutting Westchester’s lead to 3-1 in the 48th minute.
Naples continued to battle and apply pressure as the second half progressed. In the 78th minute, #21 Marc Torrellas created the opportunity for Likulia, who finished to pull FC Naples within one at 3-2 and set up a tense finish.
Despite pushing for an equalizer in the closing stages, Naples was unable to find a third goal before the final whistle.
Torrellas played a central role throughout the match, leading FC Naples with four chances created, 56 completed passes, and eight recoveries while adding the assist on Likulia’s goal. Ferrín provided a spark after entering at halftime, scoring his fourth league goal of the season and completing four successful dribbles. Goalkeeper Edward Delgado finished the night with five saves.
FC Naples will look to carry the fight and attacking momentum from its second-half performance into its next USL League One matchup.
