Naples, FL – [July 31, 2026] – FC Naples announced today the signing of defender Hal Uderitz to a 25-day contract, pending league and federation approval.
Uderitz joins FC Naples after gaining professional experience in MLS NEXT Pro, bringing size, athleticism, and defensive versatility to the club’s back line. Standing 6-foot-3 (1.91m), the 26-year-old center back adds valuable depth as FC Naples enters an important stretch of the 2026 USL League One season.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in Snohomish, Washington, Uderitz developed through the Crossfire Premier academy after helping Snohomish High School capture a Washington state championship in 2015. He is also the son of former Major League Soccer player Scott Uderitz.
Uderitz enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Seattle University, where he appeared in 69 matches over four seasons while contributing 13 goals and eight assists from the back line. During his time with the Redhawks, he earned WAC All-Freshman Team honors in 2018 before being named to the WAC All-Tournament Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Far West Region Second Team in 2021.
During his collegiate career, Uderitz also competed with Crossfire Redmond in the National Premier Soccer League, continuing his development at the senior level.
Following college, Uderitz was selected 76th overall by Seattle Sounders FC in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft before signing with Tacoma Defiance in MLS NEXT Pro. During his rookie professional season, he made 19 appearances and scored two goals while continuing to establish himself as a reliable presence in central defense. He has since continued his professional career within MLS NEXT Pro, spending time with Colorado Rapids 2 and Sporting Kansas City II.
