NAPLES, Fla. — FC Naples is off to an unbeaten start in its second season, continuing to build momentum early in the year.
A game-winning save by goalkeeper Edward “Lalo” Delgado helped secure a 1-0 win in the club’s first road match of the season against Richmond; a moment that reflects how this group has finished out games with strength.
Through the opening stretch, FC Naples has relied on its back line and its ability to push through tough matches.
“As a collective, they’ve really shown a certain resiliency in fight, to start the season. In the first four games we played, we’ve got three shutouts. So as a team, we want to be known for our hard work, effort and defensive discipline,” head coach Matt Poland said.
