FC Naples is pleased to announce the signing of player
Taylor Gray ahead of the 2026 USL League One season. Gray brings extensive professional
experience, attacking versatility, and a proven scoring record across multiple levels of the
American soccer pyramid as he joins FC Naples for the upcoming campaign.
A right-footed forward who primarily operates on the left wing, Gray adds size, creativity, and
goal-producing ability to FC Naples’ attacking group as the club continues to build momentum
entering its second League One season.
A Career Built Through the American Soccer Pathway
Gray developed through the D.C. United Academy before beginning his collegiate career at
Lees–McRae College, where he made his debut in 2016. He later transferred to Reinhardt
University, where he emerged as a consistent attacking presence. Gray earned All-Appalachian
Athletic Conference Second Team honors in both 2018 and 2019, highlighted by a standout
senior season in which he recorded seven goals and seven assists and was named Reinhardt’s
Offensive Player of the Year.
During his collegiate years, Gray also competed in the Premier Development League (now USL
League Two) with West Virginia Chaos and Tri-Cities Otters. His 2019 season with Tri-Cities was
a breakout campaign, featuring a league-record five-game goal-scoring streak and selection to
the USL League Two Eastern Conference Team of the Season.
Professional Career and Future with FC Naples
Gray made his professional debut in 2021 with Maryland Bobcats FC in the National
Independent Soccer Association (NISA) before joining Chattanooga FC in 2022. During his time
with Chattanooga, he delivered one of the league’s standout performances, scoring a hat trick
in a 4–2 victory over Bay Cities FC, and earned selection to the NISA Best XI. After an injury-
impacted 2023 season, Gray returned to full health in 2024 as Chattanooga transitioned into
MLS NEXT Pro, scoring the club’s first-ever goal in the league and finishing the season with four
goals and eight assists across 27 appearances.
Gray most recently competed with South Georgia Tormenta FC during the 2025 season and
arrives in Naples with over 100 career appearances across professional and developmental
competitions. His experience across multiple leagues, combined with his attacking versatility
and resilience, makes him a strong addition to FC Naples as the club continues to build toward
the 2026 USL League One season.
