Naples, FL – [May 14, 2026] – FC Naples came up short on the road Wednesday night, falling 2–0 to Athletic Club Boise in a USL League One regular-season matchup at Athletic Club Boise Stadium. The result moves Naples to 4-2-4 on the season after a hard-fought contest against one of the league’s toughest home sides.
Athletic Club Boise opened the scoring early in the 8th minute through #22 Thomas Amang, capitalizing on an attacking opportunity to give the hosts an early advantage. Despite the setback, FC Naples settled into the match and continued to battle throughout the opening half, working to create chances and maintain possession against an organized Boise defense.
Naples continued to push forward in the second half, and that moment came in the 81st minute when Boise’s #17 Joseph Hanson directed an attempt toward the goal during an attacking sequence. While defending the play, FC Naples defender #31 Tristen Rose inadvertently redirected the ball into the net for an own goal, giving Athletic Club Boise the 2–0 win.
FC Naples continued to press for a goal in the closing minutes, but Boise held on through the final whistle to secure the result.
The match featured a physical and competitive tempo throughout the evening, with both teams battling intensely across midfield and creating chances in transition. Boise finished with a slight edge in possession, while Naples showed resilience and attacking intent throughout the contest.
