Naples, FL – [June 22, 2026] – FC Naples put forth a determined effort on the road Saturday night, battling through a tightly contested match against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC at CHI Memorial Stadium. Despite controlling stretches of play and creating several promising opportunities, Naples fell 1-0 after a late second-half goal decided the USL League One contest.
The opening half featured a disciplined defensive performance from both sides as neither team was able to break through. Naples worked patiently in possession and looked dangerous on several attacking sequences, while the back line and goalkeeper #99 Joshua Grant held Chattanooga scoreless through the first 45 minutes.
Naples continued to push forward after halftime, creating chances through the attacking play of #3 Julian Cisneros, #7 Taylor Gray, and #10 Andrés Ferrín. The visitors generated opportunities from wide areas and maintained pressure as they searched for the opening goal.
Chattanooga eventually found the breakthrough in the 78th minute when #14 Omar Hernandez converted the match’s lone goal.
FC Naples continued to fight until the final whistle, with substitutes #9 Gio Miglietti, #30 Ian Cerro, #18 Dominick Bachstein, and #12 Hudson Gay providing fresh energy during the closing stages. Miglietti created an immediate spark in the attack, registering multiple shots as Naples pressed for a late equalizer.
Defensively, Grant delivered another solid performance in goal, recording three saves to keep Naples within striking distance throughout the night. Midfielder #14 Kevin O’Connor anchored the effort in the center of the park, while #5 Luca Mastrantonio and #22 Joshua Yoder helped control possession and dictate the tempo for long stretches.
Although the result did not go Naples’ way, the club once again showed its competitiveness and resilience on the road, remaining in the match until the final whistle against a Chattanooga side playing in front of its home crowd.
