FC Naples had two objectives going into its clash with reigning USL League One champ One Knoxville SC Saturday evening at Paradise Coast Sports Complex. It was looking to avenge its hard-fought semifinal playoff match loss last November — which ended a Cinderella inaugural season — and also to claim first place in current league standings.
Instead, though winning the statistical battle, FC Naples came up short on the scoreboard, 3-0, and was left to figuring out how to better deal with its rival when the teams meet again in September.
