COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. (WINK)—The buzz remains in the aftermath of FC Naples’ historic match against Orlando City SC.
Naples lost 1-0 in heartbreaking fashion on Wednesday night in the US Open Cup Round of 32. In front of a sellout crowd at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex, FC Naples pushed their MLS opponent to the brink in the club’s first-ever match against a club from the top tier of American soccer.
After Orlando City jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first half, a defining moment came in the second half. FC Naples came close to sending home an equalizing goal.
