FC Naples is excited to announce the signing of midfielder
Aiden Mesias ahead of the 2026 USL League One season. Mesias brings international
development experience, professional consistency, and midfield composure as the club
continues to strengthen its roster entering its second League One season.
A central midfielder with a strong technical base and tactical awareness, Mesias adds balance
and control to the midfield group, offering experience gained across England, Germany, and the
United States.
From English Academies to the Professional Game
Mesias developed within the English academy system, beginning his youth career at Charlton
Athletic before spending six formative years with Queens Park Rangers. His time in England
helped shape his technical foundation and understanding of the game at a high developmental
level.
In November 2019, Mesias joined Hartford Athletic in the USL Championship, where he made
his professional debut on July 20, 2020, appearing in a 3–1 victory over Loudoun United. The
move marked his transition into the professional ranks in the United States.
Experience Across Leagues and Looking Ahead to Naples
In February 2022, Mesias signed with SSV Ulm 1846 in Germany’s Regionalliga Südwest
following a successful trial, gaining valuable experience in a competitive European
environment. He returned to the U.S. game in January 2023 after signing with Forward Madison
FC in USL League One. His time with Madison has been marked by steady contributions, tactical
discipline, and an ability to operate effectively in the center of the park.
Now joining FC Naples for the 2026 season, Mesias brings a blend of international background
and League One experience to a club focused on continued growth and competitiveness. His
development through elite academies and diverse professional environments aligns with FC
Naples’ commitment to building a well-rounded and resilient squad.
