FC Naples has announced the signing of rookie defender Tristen Rose, marking the start
of his professional career as he prepares to make his professional debut.
Rose joins the club following an accomplished collegiate career highlighted by consistency,
leadership, and championship success. He most recently completed his senior season at the
University of Maryland, where he played every minute of the season and earned Big Ten
Defender of the Week honors along with a selection to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team.
Prior to Maryland, Rose starred at the University of Charleston, helping lead the program to the
2024 NCAA Division II National Championship and three consecutive Mountain East Conference
titles. His individual accolades included Division II Second Team All-American honors from
United Soccer Coaches and All-MEC First Team recognition.
Over the course of his career at Charleston, Rose appeared in 60 matches with 40 starts, scoring
six goals and adding four assists while logging more than 3,700 minutes on the field, an early
indicator of the durability and composure he now brings to the professional game.
The signing of Rose adds a young but battle-tested presence to the FC Naples back line. Known
for his discipline, positional awareness, and ability to contribute in the buildup, Rose represents
both immediate depth and long-term potential as he begins his professional journey in Naples.
