FC Naples is pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper
Joshua Grant ahead of the 2026 USL League One season. Grant brings elite youth international
experience, high-level academy development, and strong upside at the professional level as he
joins the club for the upcoming campaign.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper, Grant, adds athleticism, composure, and international experience
to FC Naples’ goalkeeping group as the club continues building its roster for its second season in
USL League One.
A Product of Elite Academy and International Development
From Lauderdale Hill, Florida, Grant developed through several top academy environments
before joining the New York Red Bulls Academy, one of the most respected youth development
systems in the country. He was later signed by New York Red Bulls II via an academy agreement
and spent the 2025 season in the MLS NEXT Pro environment, continuing his progression at the
professional level.
At the international level, Grant has represented Jamaica across multiple age groups,
establishing himself as a consistent presence between the posts. He has earned five
appearances with Jamaica’s U-20 National Team, most recently competing in group stage
matches against Cuba and Costa Rica at the 2024 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. Grant made
his U-20 debut on February 25, 2024, helping Jamaica secure a 1–0 qualifying victory over
Martinique.
International Experience and Continued Growth
Grant’s performances at the youth international level earned him his first senior national team
call-up on January 30, 2025, when he was selected for two international friendlies against
Trinidad and Tobago. Prior to that, he represented Jamaica at two CONCACAF U-17
Championships, making his debut in a group stage match against Costa Rica on February 17,
2023, and later appearing in a Round of 16 matchup against Guatemala.
With a strong foundation built through elite academy training and international competition,
Grant now takes the next step in his career with FC Naples, where he will continue his
development in a professional environment while competing for opportunities at the League
One level.
